POE2 boss checklist

Prepare a repeatable boss attempt routine instead of changing builds after every death.

Before the attempt

  • Confirm resistances and basic defensive layers for the encounter tier.
  • Check mobility skill comfort and animation lock risk.
  • Bring a damage plan for short windows, not only tooltip DPS.
  • Record what killed you: ground effect, slam, add wave, or resource loss.

Build a repeatable review loop

Exact damage thresholds may change, but a disciplined review process remains useful. Record the failed mechanic, identify the relevant defensive or movement gap, make one controlled adjustment, and compare the next attempt.
