Rust Breach and Clear: raid cost, upkeep, and route check

What Breach and Clear changes around a raid: group-scaled TC upkeep, monument blockers, grenade stacks, and the standard explosive math that was separately rechecked.

Current official update Official update: 2026-09-03 Reviewed: 2026-09-04 How RaidBench reviews updates

Did Rust Breach and Clear change raid costs or raid preparation?

Short answer

The official Breach and Clear notes do not list a direct change to the standard door and wall counts or explosive recipes monitored by RaidBench, and those values passed a separate source check. Preparation still changes: larger authorized groups can add TC upkeep tax, red-keycard monument blockers can delay access, and standardized grenade stack sizes can change inventory planning.

AreaWhat it means
Explosive mathThe six monitored vanilla door and wall targets, sulfur-per-item values, and official explosive recipe markers passed a separate post-update verification.
Group TC upkeepThe first four counted players add no new tax; the next six add 2% each, subsequent players add 4% each, and the official maximum tax is 300%.
Monument accessNew blockers appear at monuments with red-keycard puzzle rooms. The official update describes them as damage-gated obstacles and says they begin decaying after 24 hours if not destroyed.
Inventory planningGrenade stack sizes were reduced and standardized, so plans that depend on old carry layouts deserve an in-game inventory check.
Garage-door handlingUnlocked garage doors can now be picked up without building privilege, matching other doors; teams should recheck assumptions around unsecured access and ownership.

Player checklist

  1. Use current RaidBench explosive counts only for the six named vanilla targets and methods.
  2. Read the TC's displayed upkeep after the current authorization and code-lock group is established.
  3. Do not assume a red-keycard route is immediately open at the start of a wipe.
  4. Recheck grenade stack sizes in the live inventory before assigning carry roles.
  5. Treat monument blockers, hidden base layers, splash, misses, counters, and custom-server settings as separate route risks.

What this update does not prove

Breach and Clear is not evidence that every old explosive count changed. The post-update verifier found no mismatch in the six monitored target counts, sulfur values, or official recipe markers. It also does not establish a universal cost for the new monument blockers.
