Explosive ammo often wins on raw sulfur for single targets. Rockets win when speed, splash, or pressure matters.
| Method | Strength | Weakness | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Explosive ammo | Efficient sulfur on single targets | Slow and exposes shooter | Quiet planning, small door paths |
| Rockets | Fast splash damage | Higher sulfur if splash is wasted | Walls, grouped doors, online pressure |
| C4 | Fast direct damage | Expensive and no splash | Single door or wall speed |
| Satchels | Early-game craft path | Slow and unreliable | Budget small raids |
If you only need one door and can shoot without being interrupted, explosive ammo is attractive. If you need to break several pieces quickly or use splash, rockets usually become easier to justify.
